Romulus

Romulus is the second approved son of Dreamtime Farm’s stallion, Regulus, several times the #1 Stallion in the US for Dressage Sport Horse Breeding (USEF). Regulus is a son of Rapport out of Chris Tina by Franat from the Ladykiller bloodline.

Regulus is the sire of:
Roi Soleil D, the 2002 USDF Horse of the Year.
Raison d’Etre, the first American-bred and AWR registered horse to be on the USA Equestrian’s Young Horse Short List twice for the FEI World Breeding Championships, the 2004 North American Breeder Futurity at Devon, and finished the highest placed US-bred horse at the 2004 USEF Young Horse Championship.
Raison de Joie, the 2005 USDF Horse of the Year for 3-year-olds colts and geldings, Champion Colt for Dressage at Devon, Born in the USA Materiale Champion at Dressage at Devon, and the 2005 USDF Cosequin Final Southeast Materiale Champion.

Romulus is quiet, athletic, and eager to work. He exhibits exceptional gaits – a long reaching stride, incredible balance and suppleness, natural cadence and rhythm. Romulus has started a very successful show career in dressage. He has also been started to fences, showing exceptional scope, and beautiful hunter form.

Judges comments included "Correct, fluid way of going. Good use of legs and body. Very agile. Good outline. A modern rectangular type with enough body for finer mares. Nice character."

Romulus’ foal crops showed great improvement over their dams. He throws his kind disposition and fabulous work ethic and is proving himself a good cross on Thoroughbred mares ~ he adds depth, topline, and a quiet, thinking disposition.

Only one of Romulus’ first foal crop is still in Montana and will be started under saddle this spring. Watch for Rainieri at your local shows.
